critics and gamers. 10th on the ranking is Napoleon: Total War. This is the sixth game of the Total War series.
It offers 4 campaigns, two of which follows the early military career of Napoleon: the
French invasion of Egypt and the Italian campaign. Following the tradition of Total War games,
Napoleon mixes turn-based campaign and real-time tactical battles. While not a big leap from previous games of
the series. It’s improvements on strategy mechanics, effects, animations and sounds

third person view. You play as a War Mage on a mission to keep
Orcs and other monsters from successfully invading twenty-four fortresses. Set traps
in strategic locations, wield powerful weapons, cast spells…and make sure that no orc is
left alive. Tons of enemies to battle, funny story and
just pure fun! Orcs Must Die! holds a playscore of 9.1. Ranked 8th is Medieval II: Total War. This is a direct sequel to 2002’s Medieval:
Total War and it brings tons of improvements plus a lot more features. The game is set during the most turbulent
centuries of Western history…focusing on politics, religion…and, of course, medieval
warfare in Europe, Middle East and Northern Africa. The game is widely-praised for its sheer amount

brilliant campaign and high replay value! This is a must-have for any Total War fan.
It receives a playscore of 9.2. Number 6 is Europa Universalis IV. This is a grand strategy game…set during

approach to combat feels fresh. Every move you make could be the last of your crew. It’s intense and unapologetic…with combat
that requires familiarity and high level of micromanagement. A playscore of 9.2. Ranked number 4 is Orcs Must Die! 2. The orc-killing tradition of the first game
is back! Play as a War Mage or a Sorceress and keep Orcs and other monsters out! Set

strategy games ever. Experience World War 2 as you take command
of your own unit to take-out enemy bases using precise tactics and coordinated attacks. The campaign mode is so awesome that even

100 thoughts on “Top 10 PC Strategy Games of the Last 10 Years

  1. This is wrong on so many levels. There is a difference between STRATEGY and TACTIC, many of the games listed are about tactic. And where is Crusader Kings II? Arguably the best STRATEGY game ever conceived. Orcs must die, seriously?

  2. close combat games, 4 star general games/ panzer corps, hearts of iron games, possibly some command and conquer games

  3. Why isn't Europa Universalis V any higher in the list? It has complex diplomacy compared to Sid Meier's Civilization V.

  4. Decent list, though you lost me at Civ V. Like… wtf. Sure put Civ IV up there somewhere, but let's be honest, Civ V is pretty lame.

  5. Civ 5? number 1? I smell shite. Click end turn yawn click end turn yawn. Pretty much sums up all sid meirs games (bar pirates it was no to bad)…. CoH aye ok its no bad but men of war beats it hands down. its a war game not a hollywood war game

  6. hahahahahha youre mad man i think the best strategy games are of 1 total war rome 2, 2 total war napoleon, 3 total war empeire, 4 total war medival 2….. all total war are the best strategy games ever made..

  7. how about men of war ? total war wahrhamer ? command and conquer? and lots others that are way better than company of heroes

  8. The video editing is on par if nothing else. You go out of your way to
explain your method, but it is as mindless as the meta-critic you are
copying. I guess it is not fair to have expected a list from someone who
    has played the games.

  9. Dude, all i play is strategy games like AOE, C&C , DOW, COH 1, 2 and most of the total war series. I can honestly say fuck you and fuck your shitty list

  10. Me and my family is in need of some support any donation will help even if its 10 cents. you can make a donation here..…thank you AMEN:) have a nice night/day

  11. No Starcraft II?
    No Supreme Commander Forged Alliance?
No Command Conquer Generals II -Zero Hour?
    No Rome Total War?
No Age of Empire II The Conquest?
No Lord of the Rings – Battle for middle earth II Witch King?
No Myth II – The Soublighter?
No Star War – Empire at War?
Orcs no die??? No Strategy game.. kkkkkkk Bad…

  12. I thought this was retarded then Orcs must die 2 came up haha. Then empire earth or age of empires (3 or another) didn't come up.

  13. What are you like 8? lol your list is the worst on the net I've ever seen and the scores you are getting shows it. lol Loser

  14. I'm gonna take a bet that RTW (original) had a low PlayScore since it didn't get on this list… To bad it's surely my favourite of the total war games and strategy games. :/

  15. This list is without the Starcraft or Starcraft 2. Or Heroes of Might and Magic 3, Command and Conquer or Age of Empires? Oh, and there is Orcs Must Die 1 and 2? Seriously? Are you sure you should put lists like this?

  16. This list is a joke. Stronghold, AoE, C&C, Starcraft, Warcraft, World in Conflict, RoN, Homeworld, Supreme Commander, Warhammer, LotR and so on.

  17. Click "Show More" and read below "ORDER these Games NOW!, that is the list & clearly this guy doesn't know what strategy is.

Orcs Must Die is crappier than Dungeon Land.
FTL is more about challenge that you can't plan for (Strategy is about preparing for something that you can see coming, FTL is ALWAYS random – some games you're lucky, sometimes you have worse luck than a Storm Trooper who is able to miss at 30 feet away).

And Company of Heroes? I TRIED to like that game, but it seriously SUCKS. When I played the forced human campaign in Universe at War Earth Assault, I was reminded of Company of Heroes.

Clearly you're a Total War fan, mentioning it in your video will make anyone watching "Oh really? How could we NOT notice?"
Pick ONE of the Total War games FFS, listing them one after the other just screams "FAN BOY".

Games better than the above crap I mentioned (except Total War, too many like the game series):
    2005 to 2014 is 9 yrs btw

    – Command & Conquer series- pretty much all of them, except Tiberium Twilight & Generals, those were shit. Even the original Red Alert was better & more exciting than Company of LOSERS.
    – Age of Empires series – Even games that weren't well liked by fans are better than the ones on this list.
    – Heroes of Might & Magic
    – Empire Earth
    – Dwarf Fortress
    – Supreme Commander
    – Hearts of Iron 3
    – Factorio
    – The Banner Saga
    (all released between 2005 & 2014)

  18. Where is Cossacks European wars-Back to War-American Conquest.Wich just with the stunning hand made unit resemble into one word the sofisticated game play of an actual strategy game..putting in ur top ten 2 games two times doesn't cover ur lack of knowledge in the strategy game world.I wont but I have to mention…… The Sims ( because is a sort of strategy game) strategy by it self doesn't only counts.medieval wars ..2004 uhm doesn't it count Command & conquer ? ( nah is just one of the best strategy games ever made in the early 2000 but nvm is just an old game)Age of Mythology …well u miss it from who? Critics from who? What's the source ????? A 15 yr old community that barely played 2% of best strategy games ever made??….nvm…nfuckingmind…

  19. I am a little bit sad to not see any of the stronghold games or empire earth in this list, but at least you included civ…
Also Orcs must die is not a pure strategy game!

  20. Can someone tell me definition of a strategy game? I mean what the fuck is Orc Must Die doing there… If you place traps its already a strategy game? What the actual fuck?

  21. No men of war? 3 of the game game, 2 others of the same game?Half of them were not even strategy games! HELL there was not even age of empires on this. This list sucks dick.

  22. Why is Orcs Must Die in the list? It's not a strategy game, it's Action game. I would also argue that FTL is an action game, not strategy. X Com Enemy Unknown would've been good, if not for the massive bugs that went unaddressed when they reskinned the game as X Com Enemy Within. I will agree that Company of Heroes are fun. But regardless, you need to check your definition of 'strategy game'.

  23. worst top 10 I ever saw. The total wars were ok and x-coms; civilization V being number 1 though is ridiculous. Ors must die were the worst ones and should even have been on the list.

  24. wtfuckkkking fuuuuuck? napoleon tw is the fucking last one?
and is orcs must die fucking better? ????? no fuuuuuucking fuuuuuucking way!
i will have someone's eyes for this! (if u know whar it means)

  25. WHAT THE WIRH RHIS FTL SHIT? I see it in almost every fucking video, are you kidding me right now? How poor fucking taste people have for fuck sake?!?!
